What this site is
This website explains the Trezor hardware wallet set-up process: what happens at each step, why it matters, and which mistakes cost people their funds. It is an educational resource. It is not the official Trezor website, and it cannot set anything up for you.

Sources and review
Everything here is written from the official Trezor product documentation and from the behaviour you can observe on a device in front of you: what Suite asks, what the screen shows, and what each prompt means. Where a detail varies by model, firmware version or region, the guide says so rather than picking one version and presenting it as universal.
Hardware wallets change. Specifications, model availability and interface wording are updated by their maker over time, so treat this site as orientation and confirm the current position with the manufacturer's own documentation before acting on anything version-specific.
Each page carries a reviewed date. When a change affects the accuracy of a page, the page is revised rather than left to age quietly.
What we never do
No seed, PIN or key entry
There is no form on this site that accepts a recovery seed, a PIN, a private key or a password. There is no "validate", "sync", "unlock" or "activate" box. If you ever see one on a page bearing this name, it is not us and you should close it.
No accounts, no wallets, no custody
We do not create accounts, do not hold funds, do not offer support for a device and cannot recover a wallet for anyone. Nobody here will ever contact you asking for seed words — there is no scenario in which we would need them.
Independence
This site is written and maintained independently of SatoshiLabs and Trezor. It is not sponsored, reviewed or approved by them, and it does not speak on their behalf. Where we link out, we link to official pages so that you can verify anything you read here at the source.
The practical reason for that independence is simple: a set-up guide is only useful if it tells you plainly when to stop. Being outside the manufacturer's marketing means the warnings about second-hand devices, lookalike pages and requests for seed words can be as blunt as they need to be.
